InstaEducate Program

We’ve launched a new type of grant to help you bring Pet Ownership Education Programs to schools in your community.

What Is An InstaEducate Grant?

An InstaEducate grant is an in-kind award available to shelters and rescues visited by WWLDO to implement a Pet Ownership Education Program in schools. The award is provided in the form of PDF’s, scripts, and books valuing $500, along with support and coaching from WWLDO.

About The Program

The program is based on two books written by Robin Lapre:

  1. Doggie Do’s and Don’ts as Told by Cadence the Dog – a short story about pet ownership and safety, which is ideal for grades 2-6. Presentation length: 35-45 minutes.

  2. Two Frisky Kittens – a book about pet ownership, spay/neuter, and community cats. The book can be used to teach/reinforce addition/subtraction, multiplication, and graphing. It is ideal for grades 4-7. Presentation length: 20-45 minutes, depending on math content.

  • “I came to the conclusion that many people had simply never learned the core components of responsible pet ownership… For me, the answer was in our schools. In schools, you will find families from every corner of your community. Students are receptive learners who can share knowledge with their relatives, their friends, and neighbors. Children are our future pet owners. And frankly, young people have already seen a lot when it comes to animals.”
