Stronger Together

We’ve all got the same stories, but we need a new one.

Building Solutions for Every Shelter

Across the country, shelters and rescues are overwhelmed, under-resourced, and heartbroken. But we believe this crisis is fixable — if we face it together. Stronger Together is a one day free regional event for shelter/rescue staff, volunteers, advocates, and supporters.

Anyone invested in the success of our animal welfare system is invited. It’s about exchanging ideas and making connections with a focus on practical solutions we can put into practice now. It’s an opportunity to lift each other up, share resources, build networks, and begin designing a new way of working: one rooted in collaboration, creativity, and community.

Join us as we write that new story — together. Because together, we’re unstoppable.

We’ve held events in Central Kentucky, South Georgia, and Western Tennessee. If you’d like us to bring our program to your area, reach out for more information. We believe that solving the animal crisis in any community lies within that community.

What Happens At Stronger Together Events

At Stronger Together, the goal isn’t perfection or polish, it’s usefulness. It’s a day where ideas get shared openly, challenges get unpacked honestly, and solutions feel possible because the people in the room help shape them. Here’s what the day actually looks like:

  • Presentations full of practical ideas, resources, and concrete ways to develop leadership, veterinary access, and community engagement

  • Small group sessions in which participants share ideas and challenges focused on specific topics

  • Peer-to-peer advice sessions that allow participants to get help with their individual shelter’s challenges

  • Free t-shirt, lunch, swag bag, and copy of Who Will Let the Dogs Out: Stories and Solutions for Shelters and Rescues

  • Time for networking and collaboration

  • Special presentations by local experts on relevant topics like branding, social media, photography, enrichment, playgroups, etc.

For each event, ideally, our team works with a local shelter or rescue to find a location, provide lunch, t-shirts, swag bags, and handle logistics.

Who is invited: Shelter and rescue staff, volunteers, supporters, and advocates, plus anyone invested in solving the animal crisis in their area, including government officials, veterinarians, trainers, and community members.

To date, we’ve held Stronger Together events in Central Kentucky, South Georgia, and West Tennessee.
